today's list

I'm a good s-mom: in order to teach big H about the importance of standing up for what we believe and standing with Israel, I shlepped all four girls out last night, all by myself

too cute: the bright patterned fleece hoodies and coordinating pants and onesies that the babies wore for their rare night out

helper of the day-last night: Laura for "being available to help if we need it" - and for actually helping out

wordsmith of the day: big H for differentiating Laura's role, H was not ok with having another helper, but was ok with having Laura help only if we need it

proud mama: big H really did pay attention, as she sat with her girls

applied lesson from some book about parenting an older child with baby triplets: I let the babies cry (and scream) while getting Haley ready for bed and all tucked in, as the book says, she will remember it and they won't

surprise smile: I just love that I get emails from President-elect Barack Obama and they are signed "Barack"

better late than spoiled: I finally made the 2 dishes intended for New Years

yummy: hot spinach artichoke dip & chilled sun-dried tomato basil loaf

helper of the day- today: Julie Ann, who emailed to see if she could shop for us at Kosher Jewel and Target, saving us from some frozen delight for dinner

always the best: Erev Shabbat

Shabbat Shalom u'mevorach!

baby yoga

watch out world: baby E is on the move!

record of longest time in cobra: baby E

tonight's up-level: baby E moved from cobra to plank (full push up position)

another favorite: baby E does bridge and almost goes up to wheel on her head

with a twist: she also tried pushing back onto her knees

half-cobra: baby H's latest

happy baby: baby N's all time favorite, grabbing her feet

on the move: baby H rolls from tummy to back again and again, baby N rolls and turns all over the place, baby E rolls and rolls and rolled 8 feet across the room to reach her mother :)

back to the basics: I did some side stretches today, only thanks to my visit to chiropractor Mike who got me a little un-stuck

new mommy yoga: laundrasana, mixbottlasana, changediapasana, fallonsofasana

product of the day: our 2x2 interlocking softtiles foam floor tiles, a huge 5/8 inch thick yoga mat!

without softiles: baby E would have a bruised head from those quick rolls

something nice for me: a pedicure

bonus: the owner of the salon is going to hook me up with a good Indian woman who will help with babies for low hourly rate, let's hope

pet names for my girls: H - pretty girl, my mush, yummy girl. E- my little jumping bean, smiley girl. N- happy baby, blueberry eyes.

dialogue with six year old

this morning, as I'm throwing more and more clothes into the washing machine:

6 year old: Are you doing laundry?

Mom: yes, why?

6 year old: that's good

Mom: yes, why?

6 year old: so we don't have to buy more stuff

Mom: [to myself: hmmm?]

6 year old: ...and Barbara gets paid to do the laundry but you don't even get paid!

Barbara is our once-a-week cleaning lady who was sick last week. Even when she does show up, I do laundry every day.

Mom: [smile] that is true!
